Flower Essences For Pets: Spotlight On Crab Apple

I began using flower essences for myself about 8 years ago, and the results for me were amazing and profound.  The freedom they gave me, to step let go of the negative thoughts and ideals that I held on to, and step fully into the person I always knew I could be, was just so incredibly freeing.

Later on I found out that animals could benefit from them as well and the the results they had were sometimes instantaneous. So, I began taking classes, tele-seminars and eventually  certification workshops. I began to prescribe them for my animal communication clients who were showing unwanted behaviors. Being able to talk to the animals, gave me a unique opportunity to discover the REAL reasons for their behaviors, and giving me insights so that I wouldn’t have to guess which essences would work, but instead to KNOW.

The Powerful Combination Of Animal Communication & Flower Essences:

All names are changed) Some time ago a client contacted me regarding his new cat Sal (not his real name) Sal had a specific fear for young men, now normally, the essences to give for a situation like this is Mimulus. However, through communicating with Sal, he told me that the real reason that he was  is frightened was because a young man had abused both him and the other kittens in the litter, and that all his other litter mates had died due to the abuse which he kept reliving every time he can in contact in younger men. From the information that Sal shared with me, I not only prescribed Mimulus (specific fears), but Star of Bethlehem (mourning and loss) and Honeysuckle (letting go of the past), and Sweet Chestnut (mental anguish) as well. Allowing Sal to fully release all of his past trauma and step fully into his life. His person contacted 3 days later to tell me that Sal was a “completely different cat, happier, more loving and completely at ease”. I continue prescribing the Bach Flowers for my animal clients, I lecture and teach tele-seminars, and workshops about the subject and, I really love them!

Other “Spotlight” flower essence posts: So far, I’ve put the Spotlights on, MimulusHeatherLarchHoneysuckle, and Five Flower Emergency Essence. In each I talked about how these essences help to bring about re-alignment, emotional re-balancing, and Well-Being to your animal friend(s).

My Free e-Book: “25 Flower Essences For A Happier & Healthier Pet”: In my free e-book, I describe 25 essences that I use regularly. As well as sharing some of my secret combinations that I’ve been using for years, that I’ve found extremely helpful in my work with animals. It is easy enough to download, simply click on the link ”Flower Essence Book Download” and follow the instructions.

 SO…What ARE Flower Essences?: Essentially the way they work are at a being’s vibrational and emotions levels. The essences are vibrating at a higher speed and more POSITIVE level, then that of the current negative behavior. When taken, the essence opens up the blockage(s) and similar to a turning fork that is struck and put in a glass of water, re-tunes the body to the more positive vibrational level. This is bringing BACK an animal’s natural feeling of Well-Being and thus positive emotions and behaviors with it.

I have personally found that since an animal’s natural state is to be in a constant state of allowing and Well-Being and that they gravitate naturally towards nature and her healing power that results in animals are incredibly fast and can be very dramatic.

Sounds great! Where Do I Get Them?… At the bottom of this post is a link to a my online store where I sell my essence line called “Flowering Hills Essences”.

Please remember! Flower Essences are wonderful tools. However they are NOT a substitute for veterinary care. ALWAYS consult your Veterinarian on any cases dealing with your pet’s health even if you just suspect there might be a problem!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, let’s continue looking at Flower Essences and put the spotlight on one of my favorite essences…Crab Apple!
Crab Apple is the “Cleansing Flower”. This particular flower  remedies unwanted behaviors associated with  uncleanliness, need to over groom or pull out hair or feathers, as well as aiding in healing infections and toxicity.
Positive outcome for your Pets:… This essences restores cleanliness and dignity to the animal, and or can help heal wounds & many types of skin erruptions.
Below are some examples, which might help you to decide if Crab Apple is right for your animal friend(s).
What are some common Crab Apple uses?
  • For generally clean animals who are going through bouts of diarrhea, incontinence, and or kidney disease
  • To clean wounds: put 8-10 drops in bowl of water and wash the wound with the clean cloth dipped in the water SUPPORTIVE CARE ONLY IN CASE OF WOUNDS OR INJURIES PLEASE CONTACT YOUR VET.
  • For animals who were caged or confined in with their own excrement.
  • Animals taken out of hoarding situations.
  • Supporting & helping the animal’s body cleanse itself of any form of toxicity or poisons that may have been consumed or exposed to such as antifreeze, or insecticides…AGAIN! SUPPORTIVE CARE ONLY! IN CASE OF POISONING PLEASE CONTACT YOUR VET IMMEDIATELY.
  • For constipation, or UTI symptoms (to help them mentally with the unclean feelings associated with these issues.
  • For obsessive grooming, pulling out of hair or feathers, obsessive, scratching or biting of the skin.
  • For skin issues such as: mange, scabies, scale, eczema, dermatitis, dandruff, abscesses, licking of sores or acne & insect bits.
  • For infestations such as: worms, parasites, ticks, fleas,
  • For animals that eat the dung or other animals.
  • Furballs (yes it helps the animals to expel them easier and faster).
  • If there is a worry about infection, such as before and after surgery.
  • For sheep & goats that suffer from scab.
These are more examples, but these are only to name a few.
HOWEVER and I STRESS this: These could be a signs of an even bigger physical problem! Consulting your veterinarian immediately is advised!
How do I give flower essences to my animal friend(s)?
Normally putting the drops in the animals water works very well, and if you have a multiple animal household, don’t worry, the essences will not do anything to the other animals, unless they need it.
For small animals (cats, dogs): Give 2-3 drops in their water, from each bottle and then put new drops in whenever you change the water.
For bigger animals (Horses, Cows, Llamas, etc) anywhere from 8-16 drops on a slice of bread, or muffins have been know to work too! Or take an apple, cut it either in halves or quarters, then use a knife of stick to make small holes into each slice and then put the essences into each of the holes. That should do the trick!
If you do not notice even the SLIGHTEST of changes after a 24-72 hour period then it might mean your friend will need to try another essence.
Where do I find the Flower essences?…  I have my own line of flower essences! My “Flowering Hills” Essences  can be found in my online store.
Weathering Any Storm: Emergency Care For Your Pet
I’ve taken a lot of emergency pet care classes over the years, and I thought now would be a good time to share some of them. These tips will hopefully make a storm like Irene or any natural disaster or traumatic situation easier on you and you animals. This post will have both homeopathic and flower essence first aid as well and common sense tips that I’ve put together over the years. Just so that it’s clear my goal here is to make the emergency situation more manageable for both you and your animal, it’s not to tranquillize them, they still may exhibit some fear but that is natural (and healthy!). These tips are to help less panicked and more clear headed. This information is NOT a substitute for veterinary care, please get your animal to their vet as soon as possible.
First…..
  • Don’t panic!
Staying calm in any emergency situation is a huge asset to both you, and your animals. They sense when you’re panicked and it can make an already fearful situation even more so for them and you. Staying as calm is also a benefit because you will be better able to see the answers in fast paced situations. So take a deep breath, center yourself anyway you can then you will be able to see what is happening with clarity.
  • Putting your animal in a safe place
Animals are very visual and oratory, they hear and see thing s way before we do, Finding a nice stable safe place for them within the house or barn away from window, may help to keep them calm. In the home a place such as a hallway with a baby gate to keep them in might be a good option. Since hallways are usually in the middle of the house, it muffles the noise and the vibrations a little bit more. Also since there aren’t any windows they will not be focused on the visual part of the storm or event.
  • Awesome flower essences for emergency situations.
Some of you may know that I’m a certified bach flower specialist for both pets and people. I’ve been working this them  for over 10 years and the results have been incredible. I’ve also written a great deal about the Flower essences for pets in posts on my blog these other posts are also a wealth of information for both you and your animals. The results with these essences can be anywhere from instantaneous to with in a matter of minutes or hours.
the list of emergency flower essences to have on hand are:
  • Five Essences Remedy: This is the “Don’t leave home without it” all around great essence to have on hand. It is made up of a combination of 5 essences what help people and pets recover from any kind of traumatic or stressful situation. The essences inside are: Clematis (to help bring back clarity), Cherry Plum (that losing control trembling, and tense feeling), Rock Rose (panic), Star of Bethlehem (the reflex to play dead AKA losing consciousness).  These are all negative behaviors patterns that can come out when someone is overstressed or hurt in a traumatic or disaster situation. I would also suggest essence for YOU as well, to help you remain focused and alert. Rescue remedy also comes in a cream form (great for wounds and cuts)
  • Mimulus: This is the Bravery flower, this essence is the one to give when there is a SPECIFIC fear (ex: fear of loud noises, wind, thunder, riding in cars, etc)
  • Crab Apple: This is the cleansing flower. not only is this good to give if you suspect an animal has ingested something dangerous BUT it is a excellent WOUND CLEANER! take a glass bowl will with clean water put 8-10 drops in the water, take some gauze or cotton and gently clean the wound, apply rescue remedy cream and then wrap the wound thoroughly.
How to Give: putting the drops in water is usually the best way and the SOONER the better. If you know that there is a chance for a storm or other stressful situation to occur in the next few days begin putting the drops in the water as soon as you can. This way by the time the event occurs the essences will have built up in their systems and they will be better able to handle it. Dosages Cats: 3-4 drops, Dogs 4-6 drops, Horses 8-12 drops (cut an apple drill holes fill holes with the essences), Birds 2-4 drops, reptiles 3-6 drops (depending on how big they  are). If needed you can also put on their food is necessary but water works best.
For emergency treatment when putting in the water is not possible: DO NOT put the dropper directly in their mouth, the dropper is made from glass and they could bite down on it. Take the drops put them onto your finger tips and then rub on the INSIDE of the ear (this is a large collection of veins here so it will go into their bloodstream faster). Or on the tips of their noses, they will  automatically lick it off. For birds under their wing which also has a large amount of veins there. For reptiles and other animals on their noses (they will lick it off).
 Where can I get the flower essences?: Generally any health food, or specialty store should have them But rescue remedy is become so well known that you may also be able to find them in your local drug stores. If you have time before you want to begin ythe treatment then you can also buy them online.
  • Homeopathic Remedies
NOTE: Each of the remedies below can be given up to three times in an emergency situation. If the remedy has no effect after three doses, stop and try another remedy. Most remedies have an effect by the third dose if it will work at all. Also, once you see improvement or the symptoms stop, stop giving the remedy. The animals will do the rest of the healing by themselves. These can also be found in specialty stores or online if time allows. X and C are usually the best dosages for animals
Warning: Some eye conditions require immediate attention. You may want to take your pet to your local veterinarian to determine whether this is simple conjunctivitis or a more serious problem. For simple conjunctivitis you can try the above routine. If the condition does not seem to be getting better in one to two days or if it gets worse, you should see a veterinarian to determine extent of problem.
For Trauma (either physical or emotional) as well as to after any surgical procedure including dental work, spay, neuter, or other surgery: Use Arnica montana 30C (three pellets orally every 8 hours for one to two days). This remedy is also very good for use after excessive exercise for strains or minor injuries.
 ARNICA (for Bruises) and CALENDULA for cuts and abrasions) ALSO COME IN CREAM FORMS!!
The above is a general guide to emergencies. However, if the condition you are treating does not get better in few days or gets worse, take your dog or cat to your local veterinarian for evaluation.
Being prepared and having some if not all of this items on hand will help you and your animals be ready to weather any storm or situation that may come your way.
5 Tips To Learning To Talk To Animals
Jazzy Talking With Coryelle
Sometimes people will say to me “I wish I could do what you do!”, and I always say the same thing “You CAN!”. In fact you Do you do it on a daily basis, it’s just that you’re not aware that you’re doing it. The difference between us is that I do it consistently on a daily basis and so can YOU.
In my workshops, I let my students know that doing any intuitive work like going to the gym. When first begin going to the gym you don’t start lifting the 100lb weights (well maybe some of you do ;-) ) but normally you start off with the lighter weights and eventually build up to the heavier ones. This is the same with animal communication, the more you do it the stronger & better at it you become,
So, I put together 5 tips that will help start your journey with animal communication.
1. See All Animals As Equals
It’s really important that when talking with an animal you see them as your equal, we have a tendency to either put animals on pedestals believing that most humans are bad and animals are good, or the opposite seeing them from a vantage of superiority and ignorance believing that animals are less than humans, or not as smart, or unable to feel or reason like we do. Either mindset will keep you from hearing the communications and it holds you from truly opening up to them as well. Animals don’t see us as better or less than they are, they see every being as fellow beings with a purpose and living together, sharing lives and experiences. When you come from the place of thinking that someone is less or more than you are, you close yourself off to truly connecting with that being. For example, think about someone you REALLY admire, and now think how you would try talking to them for maybe the first time, and coming from a place of pedestal admiration. You would perhaps be stuttering or flustered preventing you from being able to have a meaningful conversation, and hearing what they other saying to you. But, when you come from a place of equality, respect, openness and love for yourself and the animals, your communications come through stronger and more powerfully.
2. Trust In Your Intuitive Ability
When we came into this life we were so naturally tapped into our intuitive abilities that we were magnificent beings to behold. As we grew, some of us (me included) stopped tapping in as often, maybe because we were told not to, or we wanted to fit in, or we simple stopped believing in it, the list goes on and on. But seeing all beings on this planet as living energy that you’re able to communicate and connect with IS the natural order of things. Seeing the world with limitations and separations is NOT, that’s why it feels so awful to us when we do it. We learned to ignore our inner guidance and we began to see the world in a limiting way, after a while it became “normal”. Tapping back into your natural intuitive ways is really easy but you have to TRUST that they exists. Now, do I always listen to my inner guidance, or believe that the communications that I’m getting are right? Well..honestly Yes I do….did I always? NOPE! It came from honing my skills.  Even if that trust doesn’t seem like it’s very big, it will grow and the more you tap into your natural intuitive abilities the more you’ll start to KNOW that it’s pure communication and nothing else. Especially when you begin to receive things that you would have never even thought of receiving, your imagination didn’t even come into play because the answer is something you would have never even thought of on your own.
3.  Slowing Down The “Mileage Mind” with Meditation
Meditation is a best way to slow down the chatter and clear your mind so that the communications come in more freely. Start slow, sit in a chair 2 minutes and just concentrate on your breathing. The goal is not to clearer your mind of any and all thoughts. Thoughts will come in, let them, let them come in and float out like feathers and if you get stuck on a thought just bring your attention back to your breath.  Light a candle, put on some nice mediation music, listen to a guided mediation like the one that I’ve recorded the “Heart To Heart” Mediation it’s my 8 minute  meditation guiding  you through a technique that I use to communicate with animals. Guided meditations are great because they give you something to concentrate on other than the mind chatter. Whatever you use start off slow 1 -2 minutes and adding another minute every day or every other day. Meditation is a powerful tool in helping you tap back into your animal communication abilities.
4.  Enjoy The Discovery Of How You Receive Communications
When you first begin this journey will will begin to notice HOW you receive your messages. The 3 most well-known are the 3 Clairs:  clairvoyance (Inner vision), clairaudience (inner hearing) and clairsentience (inner sensing or knowing). You may also receive, smells, tastes, and even sensation in your body. Take note of how you receive your communications it will show you which receiving modality is more powerful for you either Visual, Auditory or Kinesthetic, you may even be a combination of 2 or even all three. Just allow the communications to come how they come. Try not to put limitations on your communications, just enjoy and make note of how they come to you.
and last but not least…
5.  How Do You Get To Be An Animal Communicator?…..Practice, Practice, Practice!
Here today, gone tomorrow. When I was first learning German I took a class once a week I would do pretty well during the class and even a day or 2 after but by the following week my German had gotten lousy again. When I was LIVING in Germany and speaking the language everyday my German speaking & writing abilities went through the roof. Animal Communication IS another language so, do it as often as you can and make a habit of doing it. Talk you your pets, talk to your neighbors pets, talk to your bosses pets, take a walk in nature and talk to the animals you meet there, communicate as much, and as often as you can. Soon you’ll be listening, learning and conversing with any animal that you choose. Animal communication can give you that DELICIOUS feeling of truly being connected to all living things and in no time it will begin to feel Normal to you. A tip  is to record your communications, either by writing them down or recording them on video or digitally. I can’t tell you how often I have looked back in my book of communications to find delights and tidbits that I would have forgotten if I hadn’t recorded them, it’s also a great way for you to see how much progress you’ve made.
Have Fun!
A Sacred Journey: Bringing A New Pet Into Your Home
Bringing a new animal into your household can be a wonderful and exciting time for everyone. The experience can be thrilling and joy filled. But it can also be a source of problems especially if you already have animals.
So, when I recently added a new addition to MY family and the transition went smoothly, I thought that I would share what I did.
  • #1  Communication Is KEY…Talk To Your Pet BEFORE Bringing Home Their New Friend.
Sam
Months before the new animal entered our lives, I had approach the subject with Sam my cat. I asked Him if he wanted a playmate. Using the technique in my Animal Communication CD (I call it the  ”Heart To Heart” Meditation), I opened up a connection with Sam. I asked him would he like a friend? Would a boy to girl be better? What age would work best for him? I asked as him the same information that I asked myself so that I could find the right playmate for Sam and I. I also wanted to make sure that I included him in the entire process with the intention that if I got a “No” then I would accept his answer and honor his decision, and broach it again at a little later date. This new animal would after all be Sam’s playmate, his friend, as well as mine and I believe that it’s important that everyone be on the same page when making an important decision such as this. So, I asked Sam and he said “Yes, I would like a playmate, but now is not the right time, but soon”. I honored what I received and left the subject opened for a later date. The point is that I asked him and included his feelings into this decision, and whether they are human or animal, all beings what to be heard and feel like what they feel matters.
  • #2  Trust When It Feels Right…You’ll Know It!
Cut to a few months later, December 2010. I had been checking in with Sam periodically to see how things were progressing also being aware of how I felt and truthfully I also did not feel quite ready to have another pet so everything seemed to be unfolding nicely. Then one day I just knew, I didn’t over think it, I just felt like it was the right time to start looking. I checked in with Sam and he told me “Go for it!” So I began to check the Petfinders website for local shelters in my area it just felt so right to do it, there was no doubt, where the day before I HAD doubt, there were just this strong feeling that the time was right and with Sam’s “Go for it” blessing I knew things would be unfolding nicely.
Then I saw this photo….
Sally ~ Sacred
And I fell in LOVE and KNEW that she was the ONE and I even had her named popped into me head….. “Sacred”. I was so drawn to her that I ran got Sam and brought him to the computer, once more connected to him and I heard clear as a bell “Yup…that’s her”. I found she was about 45 minutes away and I called and made an appointment to go see her the next day, and then I began to prepare both Sam and me for the major change that was coming our way.
  • #3  Some Things You Can Do To Support BOTH Of You During This Time Of Change.
This is a great time to contact an Animal Communicator before you bring your new animal friend home, just to make sure so that you know everyone is on the same page and that opinions and feelings are totally being expressed and heard. Here’s a secret Animal Communicators have to sometimes call other communicators in to talk our pets, and that is just what I did. I called fellow Animal Communicator and friend Janet Roper. Janet is a wonderful Communicator and I love and respect her readings completely. I called her to double check that I reading Sam 100% correctly and to see if there may be anything else he needed to let me know that I might have missed. Once I got that confirmation, I started to do what I could to support us both during this time.
Flower Essences: these are natural and help to alleviate negative behaviors, and help to restore their natural sense of balanced Well-Being. I’m a certified Flower Therapist and I’ve been working with them for years and ADORE THEM.
Here were the ones I used WALNUT, VINE and HOLLY. I put them into Sam’s water changing it out every few hours to make sure that he was getting the most effective potency….AND I made sure to take some myself! Walnut is the major Change essence, Vine is for over-dominance, and Holly is for jealousy. This was all before she even came to the house. I kept using the same combo during the next 7 days.
Here are my other posts on the Bach Flowers click Flower Essences For Pets:Spotlight series
  • #4  Make Peace With This Fact….There WILL Be Fighting.
Then Sam told me something that really helped me understand some things. He said “Just make sure that you know there WILL be fighting, BUT what looks like fighting to YOU may sometimes be us working out the dominance in the household” then went on to said, brilliantly “So please, let us work it out.” To me, that made so much sense, with my last 2 cats, in the beginning I was constantly running to break up the fight I would also always usually pick the “culprit” who started it (notice I said PICK, not see or find). I MADE one of the cats out to be the bad guy when it could have been them just working out simple things like “this is my place to sleep”, or  ”that’s blanket” I many times assumed that one cat was attacking the other. What this did was to bring about tension in my other 2 cats relationship that lasted for years, they never truly bonded and became friends.
So this time I made up my mind it was going to be different. I would let them work out whatever they needed to I would make peace with the fact that sometimes the fur may be flying..BUT I told Sam if it EVER felt uncomfortable to me I would step in and end it. He agreed and this turned out to be the BEST thing I could have done for all of us. And yes, there were times that I kept myself for stepping in, and from doing the leave her alone….must protect!! knee jerk reaction of the past. And  many times I’d find out a little later that they were really only playing or that Sam was not being mean he was simply teaching her to slow down for a second and listen to her big brother. And yes, I absolutely did step in when it became too much for me BUT I stayed neutral as I did it. Meaning I would clap my hands and say “HEY!” loudly which broke them up but did not always put the blame on Sam and sometime I found out later that if I had I would have been wrong. Was I always neutral..no sometimes I did find the culprit for the action and let them know that I didn’t like it one darn bit, but many times I did stay out of it.
Staying neutral also feels better to you…it doesn’t bring in disappointment over every single action that you think is not right. It keeps your vibrations, your energy and your thoughts on one thing… stepping in when necessary but I honoring your animal’s instinctual way of doing things.
  • The End Results
They say a picture tells a thousand words so I’ll just let them do the talking..
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
Day 7
Day 10
1 Month
As you can see the results were dramatic. I wrote updates every day for 20 days on my facebook profile.
Our Sacred Journey started when she came into our lives on December 23rd 2010, and we’re so happy that she’s here with us. This experience for me has been a wonderful tale (no pun intended..ok maybe a little) of unfolding, allowing and joy, we could not have picked a better animal for both of us. Sacred, Sam & I wish the exact same experience for you.
Solving Pet Behavior Problems Can Be As Easy As ABC
In my previous post “The Animal Alphabet Game“, I showed you how going through the alphabet and choosing pleasing words to describe your pet, can be a fun & easy way to begin your journey with Animal Communication.
To help you even further I have a new 8 minute Meditation CD that’s now available.
It’s called “The Heart To Heart” Meditation and it’s a simple technique that I use to talk to animals.
The CD is $12.00 and is available for either download or can be sent in the mail. So now  you have all this information to aid you in opening the doors of animal communication with your animal companions!
In THIS post I will show you how using that same Alphabet game and the meditation taught on the CD can be a powerful tools to help both you and your animal friends overcome behavioral issues.
First let me say that behavioral issues can sometimes be a sign of a MUCH more serious problem with your pets, and you should let your Vet know immediately about any that your animal friend might be exhibiting.
Once your Vet has determined that the cause of the behavior is not medical, and your animals are in good physical health, you can use this game to help both them and you, hopefully alleviate the behavior and restore balance in this challenging time.
So let’s get started
Behavioral Issues…It’s NOT Personal
Now some of you might be saying “Coryelle have you gone squirrelly!?, My dog is eating my slippers and then barfing on the couch” or “My cat is scratching my brand new furniture to pieces” or maybe “My bird is constantly screeching when I’m on the phone” “What the HECK do you mean it’s NOT personal!?”
Well, It’s not.
It may feel like it is but it’s not. Your animal friend is not doing the behavior because you’re a terrible pet mom or dad (unless you’re a severe abuser which NONE of you reading MY post are!) they’re not “out to get you” or have vendetta’s, nor do they hate you.
Many times they are doing the behavior to try to make you aware of something else, and to them it is the only way they can get their point across.
Imagine trying to let your family or friends know how you felt about something but you could not fully relay to them what it was and they couldn’t fully understand what you needed. You would be kind of frustrated right? It doesn’t make your family, friends bad or less lovable because of it, but it just makes that situation a little more frustrating.
Your animals are not coming from the mindset of doing anything TO YOU to get back at you, they’re coming from the mindset of just doing the action to try to tell you something.
So taking, what I call the “Personal Factor” out of the behavior is an important first step in helping find the cause of the negative behavior.
Here’s an example:
Let’s say that you just bought a brand new rug it’s beautiful and it looks great! Once day you come home to find that your cat Mr. Sweet Cheeks (name changed to protect the innocent) has peed on your nice, new rug.
Your first reaction would probably be something like”….
“Mr. Sweetcheeks look what you did to my nice new rug! How could you DO this to me?!” Now that’s a natural reaction to that situation,
but notice how do you FEEL when you say it?
Pretty awful right? Your stomach is all in knots and your chest gets tight, and you feel the hurt and anger just building up and up.
Now take that same scenario, but instead you pause a moment and say something like this. “Ok Mr. Sweet cheeks peed on the rug, well cats sometimes do that ok, it’s not a huge deal, rugs can be cleaned, I know that my cat loves me, and that it’s nothing more than Mr. Sweet cheeks obviously letting me know something. So let’s see if we can’t find out what it is”.
Do you FEEL the difference in the two sentences? The lines of openness remain open and flowing. You took the “Personal Factor” away, which keeps you from hearing or relaying anything from or to your animal companion. Now why is that important? It’s all about vibrations
Good Vibrations!
I’m going to say something that you probably never heard before when dealing with pet problems…Vibrations & expectations play an MAJOR role in both positive and negative behaviors.
Animals are very good at feeling and reading vibrations. Which makes them extremely in tune with the word around them. From the food they eat, to the place they sleep, to the water they drink, to the thoughts they think… everything has a vibrational energy about it. That goes for you, their person too. Their natural state of mind is the belief of love and wellbeing that is assured to all. This is why they can give us that wonderful unconditional love we all talk so much about. They have no doubts, like we do in the Universe (Source, God), and because of that their expectations about life are for the most part naturally happy, content, and good. They know that when you expect good things, good things happen if you expect negative things then negative things happen. So it’s important that when dealing with behavioral issues, you do anything to change the vibration of the situation to something more positive, and it begins by taking the “Personal Factor” out of it.
Taking Your Power Back
Whenever you deal with something unwanted with your pets, whether it’s peeing on the rug, pulling out feathers, illness, snarling, growling, or yowling. It can be a very power-LESS feeling situation, which brings up frustration and worry, which once again brings you back to taking it personal. THIS is where the Alphabet game comes in; it’s a powerful tool that will enable you to make the power-FUL decision to consciously change your vibration and expectation of your pet. When you do, you can then try using mediation CD to find the possible reason for the behavior, and hopefully stop it before it goes on for too long or to help stop it entirely no matter how long it has been going on. This is what I mean by taking your power back so that you can keep from feeling hopeless and helpless.
A, B, C The Animal Alphabet Game
You want to find words that make you only think good thoughts and feel good things about your animal friend. Avoiding words that remind you of the negative behavior or that don’t make you feel good.
If you do say a word that does feel right simply go back to the last word that you said that did.
Starting with the letter “A” think of a positive, happy or fun word that you associate with your animal friend for the letter “A”.
You don’t need think up a lot of words for the letters, chose 1 or 2 but notice how you FEEL and what your mind is doing when you do this process. The more often you do it, the most positive your vibration and expectations about the negative behavior be resolved becomes.
For example:
If you have an ACTIVE dog and the word “Active” is a happy good feeling word gathering up images of your happy animal friends running around or playing with their toys or playing with the kids. Then that’s a good word to use. Or maybe the word “Allowing” (animals are very allowing), would be a good choice.
It doesn’t matter what the word is as long as when YOU think about it, it makes YOU feel good.
Then go to “B” maybe “Ball” is a good word (My cat Sam LOVES to play with his plastic bell ball and I just love to watch him do it),
Maybe the word “Bark” (again ONLY if this word brings up good images for you and not act as a reminder about the behavioral issue) an animal’s bark can be cute and a way a calling “come play with me” or a bark can conjure up an image of your animal protecting and loving you.
Then move on to the letter “C” and so on until you either feel like you have raised up the vibration of the situation enough, or till you’ve gotten to the letter “Z”, and then you can start again at the beginning.
Final Words
Behavioral issues can be a very challenging time for both you and your pets. Remember it’s called the Alphabet GAME, so be easy about it and have fun with it…and if you might very well find out that you can’t help your pet fully and need additional help from an animal communicator, or even trainer. That’s ok you you’ve raised up the vibration of the situation enough to see that solution more clearly, MUCH more so than if you were in the opposite frame of mind. You’ll be going into the next phase feeling more empowered, taking it much less personal, which better for you and your pet.
Good luck! and please keep me posted by sharing your experiences or if you have questions post them right here.
Animal Communication Alphabet Game
This is a game that is derived the Abraham-Hicks Alphabet game, with a twist!
It’s going to help you to learn how to do animal communication.
This game will help you to slow down your mind, enough so that you’ll be able to actually FEEL yourself doing telepathic animal communication with your pet.
The game is really simple, and here is the beauty of it…
1. It only takes a few minutes a day. You can spend as much time as you want, or less time on it, but I promise you that no matter what, you will feel better afterward.
2. Your animal friend will also feel better as you are doing this game, if you’re doing it with them right there, you’ll even see their reaction to this game.
Now that’s fun!
3. As you do this game you’ll actually FEEL and SEE how telepathy and thus animal communication works. As you search for words you’re slowing & quieting your brain, enough so that you’ll feel the process of forming images in your mind, AND since it’s your animal friend your doing the alphabet game about, you’re also thinking about them at the time and you’re automatically sending the images to them as well.
THIS is animal communication at it’s most basic form.
Congratulations…..You’re doing it!
4. It’s just plain FUN to do!
The Animal Communication Alphabet Game
Starting with the letter “A” think of a positive, happy or fun word that you associate with your animal friend for the letter “A”.
For example:
If you have an ACTIVE dog and the word “Active” is a happy good feeling word gathering up images of your happy animal friends running around or playing with their toys or playing with the kids. Then that’s a good word to use. Or maybe the word “Allowing” (animals are very allowing), or the word “Appreciation” (for having such a great animal friend) would be a good choice.
It doesn’t matter what the word is as long as when YOU think about it, it makes YOU feel good.
Then go to “B” maybe “Ball” is a good word (My cat Sam LOVES to play with his plastic bell ball and I just love to watch him do it),
Maybe the word “Bark” (again ONLY if this word brings up good images for you) an animal’s bark can be cute, a way of calling “come play with me” or a bark can conjure up an image of your animal protecting and loving you.
Then move on to the letter “C” and so on. Keep going till you either want to stop, or till you get to the letter “Z”, and then you simply start again at the beginning.
Choose the best FEELING words
You don’t need a lot of words for the letters, chose 1 or 2, but notice how you FEEL and what your mind is doing during this process. Your mind is slowing down, then it runs through the different possibilities and then when you find the right word it feels like you have a little EUREKA-like moment doesn’t it?
At the same moment you get a little excited and then you get the STRONG mental image(s) of your animal being or doing that word, don’t you?
This powerful game can done anytime, anywhere regardless if your animal friend is with you or not. It’s great to use if you’re away from you pet and you want to do a check-in with them. Everybody loves the feeling of knowing when someone is thinking about them and your animals are no different.
This tool can also be used to help you and your animal friend resolve behavioral problems, which is what I will talk about in my next post.
Now, go and play!
What’s In A Name? Finding The Right Name For Your Pet
When things happen in 3′s I have a tendency to pay a little attention.
Over the last few weeks I’ve had 3 different questions from clients that revolved around naming their animal friends. Some asked how do they chose the right name for their pet?, or why does my horse/cat/dog seem to pretend not to hear me when I call their name (Yes, this can also be something to do with their hearing and should FIRST be check but your Vet), but for this purpose let’s just say everything is hunky dory with their hearing because they come a runnin’ when the food hits the bowl!
Then in one session this week I even an animal themselves tell me what name they would like to be called from now on. This happened 3 times last week, so I said to myself “Hmmmmmm, I think I’d better write an article!”
For me personally I became aware of just how important names are when I made the official change after I got married. I was standing filling out the form and a voice said “Psst! why are you only changing your LAST name this is your chance to have the name that you have been calling yourself and that you always felt like you were BORN to live with!”
So I listened to the voice and changed my name to the name I have today Coryelle Lucca Kramer. Coryelle is my mother’s maiden name and felt immediately drawn to it the first time I hear it at the age of 6, Lucca is named for a magnificent city in Tuscany that I fell in love with when my husband I traveled to it for our honeymoon. Kramer is of course my Hubby’s last name.
I LOVE my name, I love writing it and speaking it, and hearing people speak it back to me. I love everything about it.
So what is in a name you ask?    I say….EVERYTHING!
Names have power, they are the way you refer to yourself, and how others recognize and think of you. The same goes for your pet. The feelings and vibrations associated with names are incredibly important especially for animals who are more vibrationally and telepathically aware than we are. When we say their names or a word, we also send out a picture with it (we do this with almost every single word we speak).
So if you call your dog “Bonehead” (Not that ANYONE reading THIS blog would….nor ANY of my fantastic clients!)
you send out a picture and a FEELING about what you think the word means to you. Just as easily as if their name was “Joy” or “Sam”.
That is an extreme case of course, but picking the right name for your pet CAN sometimes make all the difference between having peaceful or antagonistic relationship with your animal companion. Here is a wonderful example that just recently happened while during a session.
My client Mary (NOT her real name of course) had a bird by the name of Eddie, Eddie was a sweet bird but would occasionally act out with other animals in the house in almost a bully-like situation.
So Mary contacted me and we did a session, I connected with Eddie and asked him what I could I do to help him stop harassing the other animals, I immediately heard “Well you can tell her to stop calling me Eddie for one thing!” So then I asked the bird “What would you like to be called” the bird answered “Eden”. Then she sent me a picture of a garden filled with beauty, tranquility and peace.
So I told her person what Eden had said Mary said “I had no idea that Eddie/Eden didn’t like her name and that Eddie/Eden was even a girl!” then she told me she would start calling Eden by the name she wanted right away. The next day I received an email from Mary telling me that Eden LOVED her name, that every time Mary called to her, Eden seemed to get so excited and would tilt her head like she wanted to hear Mary say her name over and over again. Most importantly she told me that Eden was behaving like a new bird with the other animals. That was over 4 months ago and Eden and the other animals are all still getting along perfectly.
Is negative behavior & health problems tied to names?
Occasionally when I meet people and they find out what I do, I’ll hear something like this…
“Oh, your an Animal Communicator? I need you to talk to YOU! My dog/cat/horse/penguin he/she is driving me crazy or acting out!”
I usually say “Sure I can see what I can do, what’s your pet’s name?”
to which, they say…”Killer”, “Pisser”, “Whizzer”, “Brute”, “Bruiser”, “Psycho”, “Itchy & Scratchy”,
I even had someone (not a client) tell me their cat’s name was “Trouble”!…well THAT is just asking for it, isn’t it!
Does a name have everything to do with negative behavior or health problems? No, Of course not, but in some situations it is a GOOD place to start.
If you get a feeling that a name change IS in order, then why not try going straight to the source and ask you animal companion what name they would like. Just take a moment, close your eyes, concentrate on your breathing, and when you feel open and ready just ask them if they have an idea of a good name for them. The first answer that comes to mind is usually the right answer.
Or, ask them so give you some kind of sign over the next few days of what name they think would be good.
Now if that doesn’t seem to work too well, don’t worry there are thousand of sites where you can find lists of names
Here are just a few that I found…
Finding a name for your animal companion is great beginning to your friendship with your pet, even if your beginning began sometime ago.
Flower Essences For Pets: Spotlight On Mimulus
When I first started to use Flower essences, I was instantly drawn to them. Something about their simplicity in power and the fact that it is vibrational healing, really spoke to me. Then, I became a Bach Flower Therapist and I have been using the essences with my animal clients as well as teaching workshops about them for the last 8 years and I love them!
Other “Spotlight” Flower Essence posts… So far, we’ve put the Spotlights on Heather, Larch, Honeysuckle, and Rescue Remedy. In each I talked about how these essences help to bring about re-alignment, emotional re-balancing, and Well-Being to your animal friend(s).
My Free e-Book: “25 Essences For a Happier & Healthier Pet”… In my free e-book, I describe 25 essences that I use regularly. As well as sharing some of my secret combinations that I’ve been using for years, that I’ve found extremely helpful in my work with animals. It is easy enough to download, simply click on the link ”Flower Essence Book Download” and follow the instructions.
SO…What ARE Flower Essences?… Essentially the way they work are at a being’s vibrational and emotions levels. The essences are vibrating at a higher speed and more POSITIVE level, then that of the current negative behavior. When taken, the essence opens up the blockage(s) and similar to a turning fork that is struck and put in a glass of water, re-tunes the body to the more positive vibrational level. This is bringing BACK an animal’s natural feeling of Well-Being and thus positive emotions and behaviors with it.
I have personally found that since an animal’s natural state is to be in a constant state of allowing and Well-Being and that they gravitate naturally towards nature and her healing power that results in animals are incredibly fast and can be very dramatic
Sounds great! Where Do I Get Them?… At the bottom of this post is a link to a my online store where I sell my essence line called “Flowering Hills Essences”.
Please remember! Flower Essences are wonderful tools. However they are NOT a substitute for veterinary care. ALWAYS consult your Veterinarian on any cases dealing with your pet’s health even if you just suspect there might be a problem!
So, let’s continue looking at the flowers essences by putting the spotlight on Mimulus…
Mimulus is the “Bravery Flower.” it’s for fear. The Rock Rose essence, the “Panic” essence, is sometimes confused with the traits of Mimulus. This is where they differ: Mimulus is for fear stemming from SPECIFIC things or situations. ex: Fear of thunderstorms, fear of men, fear of loud noises, fear of being in the car or getting in or riding in their trailer, fear of plastic bags, fear of vacuum cleaners (although I don’t like them either!). Rock Rose is for when the animal is panicking to the point of almost losing their mind with fear.
Positive outcome for your Pets…  Animals become more confident and courageous, can enjoy life without fear. I often give this essence for a short-term to medium-term amount time. A medium amount of time is generally a few months anywhere from 2-6. This is because once your animal has gotten over their fear they have a tendency not be AS afraid of that thing anymore. They are able to move on mentally in a happy and healthy manner. An example of a short (or acute situation) would be: shortly before a guest visits the house and you suspect your animal(s) are going to be somewhat fearful. The more (Chronic) MEDIUM-term situation is such as: a pet that is CONSTANTLY fearful of that thing every time it occurs for example thunderstorms or being alone, or loud noises. Then the essence should be given until you see that the animal is handling the situation in a much more healthier state.
Below are some examples, which might help you to decide if Mimulus is right for your animal friend(s).
What are some common Mimulus uses?
  • When your animal friend, seems shy, or timid and careful around people.
  • When you’re your animal friends shows signs of fear in a specific situation, ex: doing shows or events.
  • If they seem to suffer from specific phobia’s (fear of crowds, of being with other animals, being in a new situation, having to go to the vet (yes I know no animal likes going to the Vet but the essence can help them remain calmer in the office), entering a enclosed space, going to a new home.
  • Your animal friend seems to be slow at doing new things and always needing to start something carefully and slowly.
  • Horses who seem jittery and skittish.
  • An animal always fearful of such things as thunderstorms, loud noises, children being around them, being around other animals, lightning,
  • If your animal friend makes noises ex: crying, or whimpering
HOWEVER and I STRESS this: These could be a signs of an even bigger physical problem! Consulting your veterinarian immediately is advised!
These are more examples, but these are only to name a few.
Tip: Consulting your Animal Communicator to verify that these are the problems is also a very good idea!
How do I give flower essences to my animal friend(s)?
Normally putting the drops in the animals water works very well, and if you have a multiple animal household, don’t worry, the essences will not do anything to the other animals, unless they need it.
For small animals (cats, dogs): Give 2-3 drops in their water, from each bottle and then put new drops in whenever you change the water.
For bigger animals (Horses, Cows, Llamas, etc) anywhere from 8-12 drops on a slice of bread, or muffins have been know to work too! Or take an apple, cut it either in halves or quarters, then use a knife of stick to make small holes into each slice and then put the essences into each of the holes. That should do the trick!
If you do not notice even the SLIGHTEST of changes after a 24-72 hour period then it might mean your friend will need to try another essences.
Where do I find the flower essences?… I have my own line of flower essences! My “Flowering Hills” Essences  can be found in my online store.
Do you still have questions about the flower essences?… Do you have more questions or are you internets in scheduling a session for your pet? Simply either leave your questions by replying to this post or send me an email by using the “Contact Coryelle” form. I’ll get back to you, I promise.
Pet Health Tip: Remember Your Pet’s Stream of Well-Being
my cat sam
The other day I had to take my cat Sam (Sweet Sam I call him, and yes that’s him in the photo) to his vet.
It seems that on one of his travels (I have 9 acres of land so I allow him to go out whenever he likes) he digested someone that did not agree with him. The result was that I noticed that Sam had worms, now I will NOT bore you with the details of HOW I found this out, I’ll just let your imaginations run free. Besides that is not why I’m writing this post.
I’m writing this post because of what happened when I found out that I had to take Sammy to the Vet.
I immediately felt a surge of worry/panic/dread start in my chest.
Now as you know I’m an animal communicator, I have been doing this professionally since 2001 and unprofessionally since I was a child.
Bottom line….I have been doing it for a long time and EVEN I have those thoughts/feelings just like you do, and just like my clients do.
I felt myself start to get tense, then the questions began “What is happening to Sam?” then I thought, “What did I do WRONG?” but then something happened, instead rolling with the next panicked question I stopped and had a thought. It’s what I believe with all my heart and what I say to my clients, so, yes I DO listen to my own advise!
The thought was this….“Every single being on this planet has a stream of Well-Being filled with Health, Abundance and Universal Love flowing to them at ALL times.”
I truly believe that, and the animals have told me this over and over again through the years. I know that personally for me there is no difference between a human and a horse, or a human child and a baby owl, or a monkey and a butterfly. We are all vibrational beings, no one is more or less important than the other. We are ALL important, ALL worthy and each of us are powerful creators of our own lives.
Now if I truly believe that then I should have no problem knowing that Sam has the same stream filled with Health, Abundance and Universal Love flowing to him as I do right now.
This with thought came this feeling of calm, I began to trust in Sammy’s ability to heal himself, that he was probably already doing it as we stood there.
Then asked him quietly and calmly what happened and how he was doing, and this is what he told me. “I KNEW that mouse didn’t smell right when I caught him but did I listen to my intuition?…NOOOOO!” then he said “Ahh C (he calls me C) it will all be alright, this just happens sometimes,
we should go to the doctor so that YOU (notice he did not say HE) can feel better about the situation,
so let’s get a move on”
So I called the vet and made an appointment all the while just visualizing Sam in his stream of Well-Being. Trusting and believing that all will be well.
Then I put Rescue Remedy in his water (you can read all the wonderful things that this Bach Flower essence does by reading my post “Spotlight on Rescue Remedy
And a few hours later off we went to the vet.
Through all of this, all I was doing was doing the visualization of Sam’s Stream of Well-Being.
I did it at home before we GOT to the vet, as we were driving TO the vet, as we were WAITING for the vet, and during the time we were SEEING the vet was keeping the visualization of my cat’s stream of well-being flowing to him at all times.
When the vet tech came in Sam just let her stroke him and scratch his head, purring all the while, even lying on his BACK on the table.
The our Vet Doctor Dave came into the room he picked Sam up rubbed his belly stroked his head, and Sam is just purring happily away. Doctor Dave, just kept saying over and over in an awed voice, “I can’t believe how well he is doing being here, he’s so calm!” When he gave Sam the de-worming pill the vet said, “In ALL my years doing this, this is the easiest de-worming I have ever had!”
and I thought…”THAT’S My Boy! Way To Go Sam!
Now Sam is not a nervous cat, but the Vet’s office is not his favorite place in the world, but you would’ve have never known that to look at him!
I truly believe that visualization was THE most important, productive, supportive thing that I could ever, ever done for Sam. It took a little practice, and bit of willingness and some focus (yes even for me and I have been doing this a LONG time) but the point is I did it. Sammy, was calm all through the ride to the vet, while waiting for the vet, and during the visit (he even came out of the bag all by himself, and then just sat in the middle of the table, saying to the doctor “Ok doc, let’s get me check out” it was astonishing how easy and quick it was! But most important how GOOD it FELT to keep that mind set.
When we got home, I trusted that he would do whatever he thought would be best and I just let him do whatever he wanted. I didn’t try to make him rest, he made that decision all on his own and just laid down for the rest of the day and slept.
Now, I know that our pets can have much more challenging issues going on then just de-worming. Health issues that can make fear rise in us quicker that poop through a goose, but the point is start doing this NOW. Do it with everything that your pets do. If your animals go outside and you have apprehension about it do it, if your animal is challenged with their health do it, If they get a cough or a cold, or a limp, even just leaving them for the weekend
DO it. Visualize their stream of Well-Being flowing to them and keep that stream flowing in your mind no matter.
If a stream is not strong enough visualize a running river or even a whole ocean of Well-Being filled with health and joy and abundance, with everything good that you want for your animal friend floating inside of it.
Whatever your visualization looks like, it is my PROMISE to you that doing it will help both You and your pet get through, any situation that comes your way.
From Sam To All Of You With Love!
Do Animals Say….“I’m Sorry”?
Recently…I had the pleasure of taken care of my friend, Ellie Walsh’s 100 lb chocolate Lab, Kuva while she was on vacation.
Our first night together, I woke up, went to turn on the light, but in the darkness I knocked something over and it made a horrible sound and it woke up both Sam (my cat) and Kuva.
After I fixed everything and got back into bed, I said to Kuva and Sam “I’m so sorry guys for making all that noise.” I heard Kuva say to me “apologies are NOT necessary.”
That got me thinking, I felt a questions being formed in my head. I lay in bed for a little busily forming my questions, and eventually drifted off to sleep. I woke up the next morning and the question had formed. I thought about Kuva and what he had recently been through.
You see, 2 days before he had just been in a fight (well…not REALLY a fight Kuva is a total love bug and not a ALL a fighter) with one of his doggie room mates. The other dog had bitten Kuva pretty badly on the ear, he had to rushed to the vet to have it looked at.
So there we were a couple days after the incident, sitting in my living room, and I asked Kuva “Did Shae ever apologize to you for what she had done?”.
Kuva lifted up his head and looked at me and said “No, not in those exact words”.
I got a feeling there was more to what he was saying so I asked him…
“Do animals apologize for things that they do?”
He said “No, what we DO do is acknowledge what we DID” I asked him what he meant by “acknowledge”. He said when an animal does something like his doggie friend did to him, instead of saying “I’m Sorry” like we do, animals say “Yes, I DID that”. Then Kuva gave me more information. he went on to tell me that animals are SO tapped into their power as creators of their own lives and all that they DO in their lives that they acknowledge and take in the FULLNESS of ALL their actions.
Think about it! There is a BIG difference between saying you’re sorry for something that you created and brought about, like we humans do, and ACKNOWLEDGING that you did something that brought about whatever it was into creation.
Can you FEEL the POWER in that statement?
When you say “Yes I did that” you are taking responsibility for your actions and whatever it was that your actions CREATED. At the same moment, with this honest statement you are honoring the other being’s participation in the situation, acknowledging their powers as a creator in the situation and thus their own lives too. You’re not sugar coating it, making it more or less than whatever it was, or worse saying it without meaning it.
You’re saying “Yes, I did that”.
How many times during the day do we say “I’m sorry” for big things and for little things.
We said the words so much and so often that they have lost their meaning.
And each time you say I’m sorry, knowing that we are not acknowledging our individual creative powers but taking away from who we really are as beings. Making the situation less power-filled and more empty and sorry-filled.
Did the other dog that bit Kuva feel bad for hurting him?, Of course! Saying that you did something does not mean you don’t regret that it had to happen, the point is it HAPPENED, they acknowledge it and move on.
Now, imagine what the world would be like we were more like the animals. That with every word we spoke we empowered ourselves by acknowledging being the creator of our lives and our actions.
Maybe there would be less humans fighting and self-hating ourselves with guilt and shame. We would not to need hurt another or belittle them if with a few simple words we showed ourselves and others that we truly love who we are.
Animals never apologize for who they are (unless we humans try to make them do so) that is one reason why animals are so connected to the Universe (Source or God call it whatever you would like to) and are givers of unconditional love. They accept each other, and us as we are.
This for me was a truly eye opening knowledge that Kuva had share with me.
So I tried it…I said
“Kuva, Sam that noise last night I DID that!”
They both looked at me and said “We know.”
Saying it felt great!
Today’s Power Animal Oracle Card…Horse
I thought that it would be fun to share my daily animal spirit guide cards with you.
I use 2 decks when I work with animal spirit guides, there are many, many different and wonderful decks out there, but the ones that are near and dear to my heart are the Power Animal Oracle Cards by Steven Farmer or Medicine Cards by Jamie Sams & David Carson. The cards help me to focus and receive guidance for what I need to know for the day.
Today’s Power Animal Oracle Card….Horse
What does this card mean to me? Letting your inner being, your inner spirit run wild and free. Embrace and KNOW our own power as creators of or own lives, and to honor it. Run free, do things that make your heart sing! That make your pulse pound with the unknowing and the unpredictability that life brings your way.
For me personally horses are extremely special and meaningful. I found out a long time ago that Horse is my spirit guide that represents my female side (that is left side of our bodies).  I also wrote a story in which horse was appointed, by the Creator, to be the holder of the moon. The Story I wrote I called “The Telling of the Stars, the Sun & the Moon” It is on my website simply click the title to read it.
So what does Horse mean to you?
So….What does Horse mean to you?
This Week’s Medicine Card….Badger
I love working with and helping others to learn how to work with Animal Spirit Guides. So, I thought that it would be fun to share some of the ways that I do that, as well as to share my cards with you.
I use 2 decks when I work with animal spirit guides, there are many, many different and wonderful decks out there, but the ones that are near and dear to my heart are the Power Animal Oracle Cards by Steven Farmer or Medicine Cardsby Jamie Sams & David Carson. The cards help me to focus and receive guidance for what I need to know for the day.
I will be doing DAILY postings on my NEW Facebook Fan Page,  and then doing WEEKLY postings HERE of the cards that I choose, and then sharing them with you.
So going to BOTH of my sites will help you get more familiar with working with and learning about these fantastic decks. You can also post here what YOU think the animal cards mean to you. The more people bringing in their perceptions, the more meanings we can discover and see how one animals can mean so many different things.
Let’s get started!
This Week’s Medicine Card….Badger
What does this card mean to me? Badgers are known to be aggressive. I feel that this card means going after what you want with abandon, but don’t lose your head in the aggressiveness of what you are doing.  If you do,  you will not see what is right in front of you.
Or I feel it could also mean that you need to find a softer approach to what is desired, that backing off and allowing things to happen is just as powerful as going after it.
So…What does Badger mean to YOU?
Next week I will pick from Dr. Steven Farmer’s amazing Power Animal Oracle Card Deck
Animal Spirit Guides: Interpreting Their Messages For Each Other
Recently, I had the pleasure of teaching a 4-week workshop entitled “Discovering Your Animal Spirit Guides, A Journey Within”
For me it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The energy from the students, the questions, the discoveries that we shared over the 4 weeks became better and better as the workshop progressed.
To see you (my students) becoming more and more comfortable and opened to your guides was a gift that I will never forget.
Many of my students told me that you were sad that the workshop had to end, because they had looked forward to the camaraderie and sharing of each other experiences and encounters. They had been sharing with me your encounters and dreams and I think that it is time that they were shared like we did in the workshop.
I THOUGHT that this post should be only for my students in the class, but then I had an idea… Why not put up a post where everyone can come and write about encounters, dreams, and perceived messages from their Animal Spirit Guides. After all the saying is “The More the Merrier!” This post will be for the students of my Spirit Guide Workshop and for YOU, the public,  to come and share all of  your wonderful dreams, experiences and encounters with Animal Spirit Guides.
A Bouncing Off Place… This is also a place to bounce ideas and thoughts about what a message, encounter, or dream might mean for someone else who has left it here to be thought upon.  It can also be a place where you the public can leave your encounter and my students can come and give you their insights into what they think your animal spirit guide encounter might mean.
It is such an amazing feeling to find a group of people and be able to talk, and share about this marvelous world and the extraordinary Animal Guides that teach us all so much,  if we just open ourselves to it.
So to the public and to my students I hope that this is something that you will enjoy doing and using,
now … let’s get to sharing
3 Tips for Traveling With Or Without Your Pet
travelin' dog
Whether you’re traveling with or without your pets… here are 3 tips to make it easier & enjoyable for your animal friend and for you.
Tip #1: Let your pet(s) know where you and they are going…
Nobody likes to be left out of the loop, and this goes for your animal friends as well.
The holidays can be confusing for us all but especially for our animal companions.
Taking a few moments everyday before your trip to connect with your pet(s) can make the trip together or the time part easier for everyone involved.
A quick way to do this is to sit down quietly and comfortably for a few moments concentrating on your breathing, feeling yourself becoming more open and relaxed with every breath.
When you are ready calm and open, talk to your animal friend, let them know about the upcoming trip they and you will be taking.
If your pet is going with you or staying at home take this first time connecting with them to lay out the plans step by step with them.
For example: When will they be traveling, and how?
If they are staying home who is going to be taking care of them?
How long will they be gone from home?
If you are leaving them how long will you be gone from home?
Animals do not have a sense of time that we do, BUT they do have a sense of day and night.
So if you are leaving for 4 days and nights, show them in your mind’s eye 4 sunrises and sunsets.
This is what I have used both with my own animals and my clients animal’s over the years and it has had remarkable results.
Lay out as best you can step by step what they can expecting during this time together or apart.
After the initial contact and explanation, then just do is daily reminders, telling your pet “Hey Spike we are leaving in 3 days!” then the next day telling them 2 days and so on till the day you are leaving. Remember to keep the conversation about the trip light and breezy letting them know that this is something they can absolutely do, with out without you there, and that it is really no big deal. This will help you and your pet to see this situation as being less stressful and more fun for all.
Tip #2: If leaving your pet(s) at home? “Give ‘em a job!”…
What I do with my cat Sammy is, while I am away we assign him an “Important job” to take care of while I am gone.
This can be anything from guarding the home and land from strangers, to keeping an eye on the House sitter,
to keeping the peace and positive energies in the house aligned and happy
Just make sure that whatever job you give them it is something that you find important as well.
If YOU believe in their job and send out the vibrations that they are doing an important job, they we will receive and believe that as well.
Tip #3: Use Flower Essences to help your pet…
I LOVE working with the flower essences, and over the years I have seen them do remarkable things for pets. I have my own line of essences called “Flowering Hills” and you can find them in my online shop.
A wonderful all around great Bach Flower that may help your animal friend to have a better trip or to help them feel less stressed about your leaving is
Rescue Remedy.
This is is actually a powerful combination of 5 Bach Flowers that help many animals (and yes people) overcome stressful and fearful situations.
To read more about this flower essence go to my blog post on it “Spotlight on Rescue Remedy”
Begin putting the essence in your pet(s) water bowl a few days before traveling.
I would suggest at least 2 times daily. Making sure that you change the water for fresh every time and reapplying the essence. The amount of drops in their water depends on how big your pet(s) are.
So for small dogs and for cats 2-3 drops will be enough, for bigger dogs 4-6 drops, and for such animals as horses 8-10 drops in their water or their favorite treat will do just fine.
These are just a few tips that I have found, to really help make any trip I take with or without my pets
much more happier, positive, & fun of all.
Safe travels!
Animal Communication: Message from Seal “How to Enjoy Life”
I had been sitting this morning on a beach on Cape Cod facing the Atlantic doing my usual morning mediation, when I suddenly felt a strong presence all around me. When I opened my eyes there in front of me, only 10 feet from the shore was a group of seals swimming past.
Seal friends group
Seal friends group
Now, me being the Animal Communicator I am,
I am NOT about to let an opportunity like THIS slip by without opening up a line of communication!
So I asked them to stay and talk with me. Some stayed, and some went off to look at the curious people floating on the large sticks of colorful wood (we call them surfers!)
Seals and Surfers
Seals and Surfers
The ones that went over to surfers, just had so much fun looking and checking them out. And yes even talking to the surfers. I felt their connection right away and was so happy to see that moment and capture it on my camera. One being looking at another with curiosity yet both respecting the others boundaries and space. This connect between people and animals transcends anything else. Not only do we learn from them, they learn from us as well.
Respecting the fact that all beings have something important to say, that it does not always means more because it is coming from an animal, just as it does not always mean more when it comes from a human the message. What is important is that the message(s) is coming. Simply being aware that information and wonderful things come from many different sources.
So back to my encounter. So as the men on the weird colorful boards were having their connection I had mine….
I asked the seals “Show me how I can be more playful, more lighter about things in my life, show me how I can enjoy my life more.” “You seals seem to live off happiness, joy, and fun and I would like to learn how to be more like that, how do I do that?”
This is what I heard….
“By just letting go, by not being afraid of results of your actions, what others might think or do. It is your life. You live your life the most when you are at your most happiest, at your most freest.”
Seal lying on her back
Seal lying on her back
By having fun with your friends when you are with a group of friends that understand you and love you and you let go in that atmosphere that is a wonderful feeling. Let go of all the things that you think are so important. Let go of all the things that you think make you, you.
“When you truly let go and just BE, you will see how easy it is to connect to the real you, and in finding that real you then you will have joy and see things as we do.”
“Try to be open to new ideas, new experiences, take them in with an open mind and find out what you like and what you want to keep about this new experience, and then let it go and joyfully move on the next new experience or new encounter, why do you stay and keep looking at the new thing?”
“That is not a good idea because after a while the new thing becomes the old thing and the joy and fun is not in it as much anymore the longer you look at any old thing the less exciting and thrilling it becomes.”
“So let it go.”
Seal Joy
Seal Joy
WE are always curios about the new experience, that is a good way to be…remain open and curious and about all the new experiences, curiosity brings excitement and joy into our lives, don’t be afraid of your curiosity. We stay teachable and open to new knowledge.”
Then the seal asked me…
“When you first saw us and you grabbed your object (my camera) and started to run down the beach at us you did so with curiosity with joy and without thinking about it, did that not feel nice to do that?”
I said, “yes, it really did, but then my head got in the way and I started thinking, maybe I am bothering them I should keep back and not chase them
Seal “yes, we were sorry to see you stop, we were having a good game of “catch me”
Me: “but I did not want you to think I was going after your babies, or disrespecting you”
Seal: “We see you heart.. we know what you are thinking like you know what we are thinking. That is your head talking, what does the heart say?”
Me: “That is was fun to run!”
Seal: “YES! And we loved sharing that experience with you. Don’t’ worry about what others may think we love to have fun we want that for you too! That is why we came to you today, there is a real feeling of wanting to have this joy but keeping it bottled up because you are not so sure what will happen if you let it out of the bottle. We want to let you know that the fun is in NOT know what will happen when you open that bottle, that is the thrill that brings so much meaning to our lives and to yours.”
Then I thanked the seals for talking with me and sharing with me and teaching me and for the new experience that I want not to share with you.
Then they asked ME a question…
seals at play
seals at play
“We have always been curious what it is like to have legs and feet?”
So I tried to explain what it we like to do some things like driving and hopping and running. But then I realized it would be easier to open the connection and share the FEELINGS of doing those things. So I did, I shared with them the sensations of dancing and running and jumping and hopping and skipping and swimming with legs and feet. Then they shared with the sensations of swimming at high speeds in the water.  My heart started racing and I got the sensation of water rippling around me and just diving and jumping and doing so at such fast speeds it boggled my mind.
They thanked me for sharing my experiences and I thanked them.
Then we parted ways and I felt so blessed to be here in this wonderful place.
Bach Flower Essences for Pets Bulletin Board
I love doing workshops! and the energy….Ooh! the energy!
The energy and the questions from the people that take my classes are always so fantastic.
Every workshop is totally different from the last
When I do a workshop I give all my students, free email support.
Why am I sharing this with you?…..well, I had an idea.
I recently held a Bach Flower “Healing Essences for a Happier Pet” Workshop and since then, have received quite a few emails. The emails are my students sharing with me their personal insights and discoveries in utilizing the essences for their own pets or with their friend’s and family’s pets.
I have also received several emails from clients relaying to me how the Bach Flower Essences that I prescribed for their pet(s) are working.
So, here is my idea, I am writing this post to be a sort of bulletin board.
A place where all these wonderful discoveries about the Bach Flower Essences can be shared.
A place where my students and my clients as well, can come and put their comments and share with each other and with you, their actual HANDS-ON experiences working with the essences.
Also, you (the people who have not taken one of my workshops….YET! ;-) )can see how powerful and wonderful these essences are. You will be able to read how the Bach Flowers can be used in many different situations and how they helped animals.
As I said, this post is also for my clients to leave your comments about the essences that I used to help treat their pets.
I believe that when you give something to another being with love, then that love will come back to you as well. I think that sharing information is a great way to do just that.
So to all my students and clients… let’s get to sharing!
many blessings
What Is Beauty?: Animal Communication From A Koi Fish
Over the years, I receive communications from many differernt types of animals. Having a house in beautiful Upstate NY also gives me the unique joy of being able to talk to wild animals as well.
But I also have a pond on my property and I was sitting feeding my fish this morning, there are a mix of comets (goldfish) and blue gill. But the ones’ near and dear to my heart are the 4 Japanese Koi fish that came into my life 6 years ago.
There were 5 Koi, but 3 years ago I lost one, her name was Starlight.
She was all white, beautiful, and had just a marvelous energy about her.
The other Koi are…
“Footsteps”:
(multi-colored with orange, black & white). Named so because she has black spots on her back that look like someone with tiny feet walked on her back.
“Strong Black Tail”:
Bright orange with an amazing black tipped tail
Black Tail loves to thrash his tail around and make giant waves with it.
“Mahtai”:
(pronounce Ma-Tie) (all white)
She named herself and told me what her name was when we first meet.
I have found out since then, that Mahtai means “Chief in Samoan. I did not know that until the day I looked it up on Google.
She used to be light yellow but then 3 years ago (right after Starlight transitioned) Mahtai made the decision to turn white.
She also made the decision at that time to go from being a he to a she.
my Koi friends are always keeping me guessing!
    And then there is
    Rah..
    Gold like the sun and named after the Egyptian Sun God, Rah is an extraordinary being and I am honored to call all of them my friends.
    So as I sat by my pond, getting ready to feed my friends, Rah of course was the first one that came over to me. I asked him “Do you have any wisdom to share with me today my friend?”
    Rah said: “Beauty cannot be seen unless you are ready to see it.”
    I asked: “Can’t that be said about anything?”
    Rah replied: “Ah yes, but with Beauty it is the most important of all. Beings cannot live without Beauty in their lives” he continued “You have to expect to see it, all the time, be excited to see it. For you never will know what Beauty will look like and if you think it should always look the same you will miss it”
    Then he paused and said “You have to expect it in your life but do not put conditions on
    HOW it should appear, that will take the enjoyment out of it.”
    Wise words from a wise being that I wanted to share with you.
    Thank you Rah.
Celebration of Blessings
It was 1 year ago today that my mother transitioned in the most extraordinary way.
She passed away in giving love, spirituality, dramatics and A LOT of class!
To the people that knew her that was not too surprising.
What are surprising are the gifts that she gave us since she transitioned.
My career as a Communicator seems to have taken off since then. I feel as though when she left that she put a jet rocket pack on my back and pressed the start button! She was and still is my biggest fan.
She gave me such marvelous family and friends that I have in my life, that since she left, made the bond between us only grow stronger and stronger everyday with love, and laughs and a connection of the extraordinary event that we shared. The bond between he people who were in those rooms that night is stronger than anything I have ever felt before in my life. She gave me new friends through the transitioning people brought together for the orchestration of her passing into the non-physical or whom I meet through the jet pack she put on my back. These wonderful friends either only knew my mother for a few hours or not at all, but all said the same thing. “I feel like I knew her!”
The only thing she took, were any apprehensions that I had about “death”
Sammy and a Butterfly
Sammy and a Butterfly
She gave me Sammy,
the wonderful cat that I found for her only 8 months before she left this world,
In broken down doghouse of a house that no one lived in.
I CANNOT tell you what it meant to me to have this being in my life last year after she transitioned. I had no idea how helpful it was to have another being to come home to at the end of the day into an otherwise empty house. Only the knowing that I would be coming home and Sammy would be there to greet me, was a gift for me, especially in the early days and months, when I was still a little thrown that she was not in the physical anymore.
As I am writing this post and I don’t know why I am, or what the theme of this post should be, I see Sammy on the porch sitting and looking at the rain. He is patient and serene, he just IS. He lives his life the way mom mother did, appreciating it, playing with it, living on the joy of it and he shows me how to do that all day every day.
She transitioned 6 days after she was diagnosed, 6 days.
She passed at in her home that she loved in upstate NY with friends and family surrounding her. Many of who just “happen” to stop by that night not knowing (as we all did not) that it was THE night. She passed away in a cone of white light a flickering of lights and a flash of lightning. The signs, signals, and gifts of people, places and things keep showing up in all of our lives and we keep talking about it with each other.
I know that she is with us and I think I am writing this not only for me and Sammy but for the others that were touched that night for Sheila and Ellie and Carol, for Marge, and Mary Ann and Jessica and Sheree and Sierra, for Robert my brother in spirit, for Jessica and Cindy and Matt for Elsa (the hospice nurse that knew her for only 2 hours but loved her immediately), for Florence (our friend that saw the flash of lightning over the house on a clear summer night without a cloud in the sky at the time she passed), For Connie that I knew right away that mom hand a hand in our friendship, and Stephan my husband who she was the last person to speak to in the physical world.
Today I am celebrating a passing of an extraordinary woman with the extraordinary people and animals; she helped to put into my life.
I think I have the title to the post “Celebration of Blessings”, I think she would like that.
Appreciation Lists: Mine for May 28th 2009
So I was on twitter, when the thought came to me to write to my followers about doing appreciation list.
Now, being someone that does not give advise unless I have done it myself, I then sat down and started to write my own list. Appreciations lists allow me to stop and think about the things that have manifested in my life, I find when I am done I feel excited, eager, and most importantly happy about what my life has in it. So when I write I don’t really try to think about it, I just sort of let the words flow out of me on to the page. It does not take long, doing this post took longer than writing out my list!
Then I thought, why not post my list? This is simply because not all appreciation lists are so private they can’t be shared and enjoyed by others. Maybe something on my list triggers something for you that you might not have thought of. So here is my unabridged appreciation list for today, some things might make sense to you and some might not, but that’s ok….
My home in Middleburgh,
the beaches of Cape Cod,
my husband’s support,
my husband’s love in his eyes,
my friends,
my cat friend Sammy,
my reconnecting to my animal communication abilities,
Teaching people new things,
peonies,
Reiki,
Bach flowers,
my ipod,
my car,
my aunt Sheila,
my mother and all she has given to me,
my father and his love,
my website,
my blog,
my ideas that I have, asking,
being,
loving,
the squirrels that try to get into the house (they REALLY show me what I don’t want),
the contrast that life brings!
abraham-hicks,
knowing that the beings on this planet ALL have their own creator force inside of them,
cappuccino in the morning,
German bread,
my beauty,
my career,
living in Germany,
living in the States,
my computer I LOVE my computer!
Now, I banged this out in 5 minutes, but then got the feeling like it was enough, my emotions were up and I felt great.
I am sure that if I think about it I could put a lot more on the list. But I don’t think that is the point, I think that thinking about it too much, makes me feel like am talking myself into something. So these lists don’t have to be a certain length, just keep writing til it feels like the right time to stop.
Just let the words and then appreciations flow out of you.
Flower Essences For Pets: Spotlight On Heather
When I first started to use flower essences, I was very much drawn to them. Something about their powerful simplicity really spoke to me. I then became a certified Flower Therapist and I have been using flower essences with my animal & human clients as well as teaching classes about the essences for the last 12 years and I love them!
Other “Spotlight” Flower Essence Posts…
So far, I’ve put the Spotlights on, MimulusLarchHoneysuckleCrab Apple, and Five Flower Emergency Essence. In each I talked about how these essences help to bring about re-alignment, emotional re-balancing, and Well-Being to your animal friend(s).
In my free booklet… “25 Flower Essences For a Happier Pet”
In my free e-book, I describe 25 essences that I use regularly. As well as sharing some of my secret combinations that I’ve been using for years, that I’ve found extremely helpful in my work with animals. It is easy enough to download, simply click on the link ”Flower Essence Book Download” and follow the instructions.
What are Flower Essences?
Essentially the way they work are at a being’s vibrational and emotions levels. The essences are vibrating at a higher speed and more POSITIVE level, then that of the current negative behavior. When taken, the essence opens up the blockage(s) and similar to a turning fork that is struck and put in a glass of water, re-tunes the body to the more positive vibrational level. This is bringing BACK an animal’s natural feeling of Well-Being and thus positive emotions and behaviors with it.
I have personally found that since an animal’s natural state is to be in a constant state of allowing and Well-Being and that they gravitate naturally towards nature and her healing power that results in animals are incredibly fast and can be very dramatic.
Sounds great! Where Do I Get Them?
At the bottom of this post is a link to a my online store where I sell my essence line called “Flowering Hills Essences”.
Please remember! Flower Essences are wonderful tools. However they are NOT a substitute for veterinary care. ALWAYS consult your Veterinarian on any cases dealing with your pet’s health even if you just suspect there might be a problem!
So, let’s continue to look at flower essences with putting…
The Spotlight on Heather…
Heather is the remedy that is called “The Identity” Flower”. This particular flower deals with the souls ability for self-identification and empathy.  For animals exhibiting attention seeking, or “needy’ behavior. A good example is a “Me, Me Me” “pay attention to ME!” attitude.
I often give this essence for both a short-term situations OR long term situations. An example of a short (or acute situation would be: shortly before a guest visits the house and you suspect your animal(s) are going to be somewhat over-bearing and needing attention. As opposed to the more chronic or long-term situation such as: an pet that is needing to be the CONSTANT center of attention all day, every day and this has been going on for some time.
Below are some examples, which might help you to decide if Heather is right for your animal friend(s).
What are some common Heather uses?
• When a pet is very possessive (in an almost unhealthy and clingy manner) to their human companion(s)
• When your pet is in need of being the CONSTANT center of attention, and will do anything to be so. That may include barking meowing, running around when guests are visiting, anything to bring the attentions back to them
• Self-centeredness seems to be a predominated trait in your pet’s personality.
(please note this could also be a trait of certain breedsof animals aka pedigree cats, in this case Heather would NOT work)
• Your animal friend seems never to be happy when you are of their sight, they are “stuck to you like glue”.
• A pet that has a history of being abandoned, either through the loss of their animal sires (parents) or by their previous human companions.
• An animal with a history of being left alone for long periods of time and thus does not presently like being alone.
• If your animal friend incessantly makes noise ex: barking, howling, yammering, or crying. (please note: this could be a sign of a even bigger physical problem! Consulting your veterinarian immediately is advised!
• The animal is quiet, but insists on having your attention constantly, ex: pushing your arm to be rubbed, pulling at your clothes, wanting to be near you no matter where or when.
• Your pet is not at all happy when left alone.
These are naming only a few examples.
Tip: Consulting your Animal Communicator to verify that these are the problems is also a very good idea!
How do I give flower essences to my animal friend(s)?
Normally putting the drops in the animals water works very well, and if you have a multiple animal household, don’t worry, the essences will not do anything to the other animals, unless they need it.
For small animals (cats, dogs): Give 2-3 drops in their water, from each bottle and then put new drops in whenever you change the water.
For bigger animals (Horses, Cows, Llamas, etc) anywhere from 8-16 drops on a slice of bread, or muffins have been know to work too! Or take an apple, cut it either in halves or quarters, then use a knife of stick to make small holes into each slice and then put the essences into each of the holes. That should do the trick!
If you do not notice even the SLIGHTEST of changes after a 24-72 hour period then it might mean your friend will need to try another essence.
Where do I find the Flower essences?
I have my own line of flower essences! My “Flowering Hills” Essences  can be found in my online store.
